You're invited to settle in along the beautiful Rock River on May 11, 12 & 13 to write poetry, letters, or that novel you've been dreaming of completing. This is a free, self-directed event.

Stop by the Fort Atkinson Farmer's Market on Saturday, May 13 to experience street poet Paul Wiegel's return. He brings along his typewriter and creates poems on the spot!
On May 13 at 2:00 pm, Lauren Carlson, the first recipient of the Lorine Niedecker Fellowship, will share her poetry and thoughts on Niedecker. Drop in, no registration required.

2023-2024 Wisconsin Poet Laureate and Fort Atkinson resident Nick Gulig will be at Dwight Foster Public Library on Saturday, May 13 at 11:00 am, reading some of his work and reflecting on his creative process. Drop in, no registration required.
On the evening of May 13, all Write On the River participants are invited to attend a poetry reading where they can share a bit of what they wrote over the past few days. Taking place at Cafe Carpe from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
At the Farmer's Market on May 13, poets and authors, including Deb Rosman, will be joining our other vendors to sell their books. If you're an author who is interested in participating, sign up here.
Stop by the County Inn and Suites bar on Wednesday, May 10 and Thursday, May 11, from 7:00-8:00 pm to connect with other writers and poets.
